What We Do
The Center for Social Norms and Behavioral Dynamics, created and led by Dr. Cristina Bicchieri, is a major research center at the University of Pennsylvania, which aims to support positive behaviors on a global scale, across both informal and organizational settings.

Our Work
Our Center is widely recognized for its proprietary frameworks to untangle, measure, and influence norms and behaviors in real-world contexts. Our methods can also be used longitudinally to detect changes in norms and behavior over time.
We support government agencies, international development organizations, NGOs and private corporations to create evidence-based strategies to impact norms and behavior at scale.

Our People
The work of the Center is driven by a base team of senior and rising experts working across disciplines such as behavioral science, economics, philosophy, psychology, anthropology, statistics, demography, and education. The Center also includes an interdisciplinary and diverse network of over 45 fellows and affiliates working around the world.
